Michaela Fischer
Portrait of Michaela Fischer
"I paint to hold still what the eye forgets — the way light lingers on a familiar face."

Michaela Fischer is a painter working primarily in oil, focused on realistic portraiture with a muted tonal palette. Her work draws from the tradition of European figurative painting — intimate chiaroscuro lighting, warm earth tones, and a quiet attention to psychological presence.

Working from her studio in Berlin, Michaela approaches each portrait as a conversation between light and surface. Her process begins with extended observation, allowing the character of the sitter to emerge through subtle shifts in tone and temperature rather than dramatic gesture.

She studied painting at the Universität der Künste Berlin and has exhibited across Germany and Europe. Her work is held in private collections in Berlin, Munich, Vienna, and London.
